Been a while! About two years back, had to let go of my number 1 - My Yellow Tiger Artist Package Custom 24 among a few others. Had a Pattern RW neck and 1-piece top (as shown in my profile pic). That one hurt...
I've been slowly working back on getting my rack replenished, and I was set on getting one of the 2025 models with the DMO pickups (The new Aurora Borealis finish looks amazing). This week though, came across a unique and used Custom 24 that really stood out and checked alot of boxes for me:
1. Wood library with Rosewood PATTERN neck/Ebony Board ( I don't dislike Pattern Thin, but finding a CU24 with this neck type is becoming more rare these days and what I'm most used to)
2. Fatback Swamp Ash body (love the thicker body)
3. Unique color - Mocha/Bronze - usually this color is only reserved for PS builds, and captures a combination of some of my favorite PRS finishes depending on how the light hits it (captures a bit of Gray Black, Charcoal, Copperhead, (dark) yellow tiger wrapped in one).
4. Pickup Combo - 57/08 in the neck, 59/09 in the bridge - hasn't failed me yet.
Great specs and at a "giveaway" price? No brainer. Won't make the same mistake twice, this one's a lifer:
