Maybe six years ago I showed up on forums with a CE and a new SE. The previous powerhouses who uses to frequent the forums showed me the way.

Off topic....My BIL got married on April 1st 10 years ago. During the reception they set a chair in the middle of the dance floor, and said if anyone wanted to clink their glasses to get the newlyweds to kiss, they would have to step it up. No smooches for clinking. If you wanted to see a kiss, you needed to walk out to said chair, and sit on the whoopee cushion they put on it. Nothing better than seeing 75 year olds sitting on a whoopee cushion!

It’s fun, I like these old first gen SE’s for the big necks and relatively stripped down feature set, and find them comfortable to play. The pickups and hardware are nothing mind blowing but... hey, $350 shipped and at least it’s not a Strat.

.... well, it kinda is. I might buy a new pick guard so I can move the volume knob to more of a DC3 positioning but other than that, I’m gonna rape my parts drawer for everything else.


And honestly, it doesn’t sound any better or worse than any of the other S-type guitars PRS made before the SS so...

Hooray for me.
