Yeah, I saw that one as well! I saw another one about a week ago where someone was asking $10k!! Not sure what these people think a color does, but for that kind of money, you could certainly have an expert paint it close to that I would imagine!!!

It's from outer space! But it is NOT the Crab Nebula!! I think it might be called the Gouge Nebula!!!

It was painted over to a metallic blue/purple. Lacks the pink of the real deal. But still a huge improvement (to me) over the boring regular colors currently offered. The black pickguard and cover were found on reverb. Even the pickup pole spacing were different than traditional F types that can be found everywhere.

I didn’t paint it. Got it at decent price for it to already be painted over. It’s some kind of metallic blue midnight pearl. Right Up my ally….and hopefully won’t fade like other blue guitars

Further sacrilege: I noticed today that the bridge pickup had a lot of hiss/hum and a huge drop in volume. I cracked the guitar open. Everything appeared to be wired appropriately. Resoldered it to be sure. Still the same issue. So I yanked the pickups and put in some Fralin Vintage Hots that were unused. Back to normal with no volume drop or grounding issue. Not sure why the bridge pickup crapped out on me. If I didn’t have spare pickups I would have been pissed. As it is I gotta say I much prefer the Fralin bridge. Which comes to no shock to me as I had this in my strat for a long time.

Nothing ever wrong with swapping in Fralins. VH are great strat pickups, nothing against the ssse pickups but it's not surprising to hear you prefer the Fralin.
