So, I finally got one of my dream guitars since I was four years old - the Hollowbody II. I first played one in 2011 and thought it was exactly what I was looking for; never that I could afford one. Well, here I am five years later, and somehow it happened. I don't know how, but it did. I'll just say that I had an immense amount of help in the process.

'16 Hollowbody II in Cherry Charcoal Burst, 10 top, ladies and djentlemen. I first played one of these in this color at the Experience event in June, and knew that it was the one I wanted. It was perfect.

Here she is!

BTW I hate gloating like this, I just thought some of you guys would enjoy some pics of the lovely new lady with her stablemates...

Special shoutout to Willcutt Guitars!!

But.... does it djent? ;-)

Just teasin', Paul, she's a beaut!

That's gorgeous. The headstock fascia looks like ebony - is it, and is the fingerboard as well?

Thanks so much, everybody!! About the fingerboard and headstock veneer, they're actually Rosewood, just a really dark specimen. And yes, indeed, I am a Boogie guy, mostly of the Recto variety, may get an Archon soon to blend flavors. I am having a slight issue with the Rectos with feedback from the Hollowness of the guitar, but it's nothing an ISP Decimator shouldn't be able to solve.

But seriously, thank you guys so much. This is my first really, really nice guitar so I'm really happy that people like it. Will be recording with her soon and I couldn't be more excited.

I recommend using less gain and get used to turning the volume down when you're not playing. You can use the liveliness of the hollow body to your advantage and get great musical feedback for infinite sustain like Carlos Santana or Gary Moore without crazy volume.
