Hi Folks,
You may remember my earlier NGD post in which I had purchased a new DC3, but found myself wondering if I should have held out for an NF3. Well, as great a guitar as was the DC3, I found its sound a bit thin and really didn't want to play it with the tone knob above 2, so I brought it back to my local GC and hunted down an NF3 several days later for only a modest bump in price. Now that I have played with the NF3 for a few days, I couldn't be happier! Extremely versatile and, as several posters said, really does a solid Strat impersonation in positions 2 & 4; positions 1, 3, and 5 are somewhere between a Strat and an SG, IMO. Plays tremendously (as did the DC3). Anyway - it's a keeper!

Nice!!! Congratulations. Great that you got the guitar you really wanted!!!

[/IMG]The NF3 arrived today.
Changed the strings to 9's, made a few fine tweaks (adjusted the springs, lowered the action) and it stays in tune excellently!
Happy boy here.

Overall impressions of the guitar are LOVE!
The frets are a tad higher than I'm used to which adds a bit more resistance to doing slurs, but bends are handled with ease.
The pickups are FANTASTIC!
Great tone and balance.

Volume and pickup selector are in a bit of an odd place.
Volume is almost directly under the tremolo arm and the pickup selector takes a bit of reaching around the tremolo arm to get to compared to a traditional strat placement.
I may look into getting a replacement pick guard made with the controls in the more traditional placements if I can't get used to them the way they are.
Overall, I really love the guitar.
The neck shape is just so comfortable.
The Korina wood is light.
great guitar to stand and play.
