Another new tool in the box.

This popped up on the UK Fretboard forum and I couldn't resist. I was looking at the new SE24 Custom Semi Hollow but decided I'd never need the Piezo so this was an obvious choice to fill my need for a semi.
Nice top and a good weight, 6lb 9oz.
2014 build by WMI and I personally think this was the peak quality period for SEs in terms of build. The newer ones are great but have a few minor niggles that can be fixed but shouldn't need it.
All I need to do is change the stock tuners for Gotoh lockers but then the debate starts about the rest.
I think the bridge will end up as either another from John Mann or the original from my Bernie.
Pickupwise I'm playing the stock 245s but am thinking about a set of Bare Knuckle PG Blues for the Bernie so I could transfer the 57/08's from that.
Not a problem for now though. I'm just happy playing it.

Hard to beat those Korean SEs! Huge congrats!

Now you just need a SE245 Soapbar to help round out your collection of SE245 derivatives.

I got @Fullmoon 1971 to make me a set of these for a non PRS guitar I own.

I already have a set in my SE245 -

I love the tonal response from them, clear but with a nice overall range.

Sweet! What are the specs?

Low wind Alnico 3, all 42 AWG wire (poly coated enamel), neck (6.93k) is symmetrical wound and the bridge pickups (7.15k & 7.45k) are asymmetrically wound.

They are a PAF style as I prefer a lower output for the style of music I play.

Can’t wait to get the installed, as the set I have in the SE245 totally transformed the guitar tonally.

The best way I can describe them tonally is articulate.

I should add that John (Fullmoon1971) very kindly sent me a choice of two different pickups for the bridge, to see which one I felt balanced the best with the neck. He’s a great guy and a forum brother.
