Yippy ki yay...
Was in our local GC last weekend when Mrs. Bebop spotted this little guy. Hadn't seen one of these in quite awhile.
It is brand new, they just got it in.
Well, the missus took quite a shine to it. It's super light, plays fabulous and has an impressively bright, chimey, jangley voice.
When finger picking it almost sounds like a piezo output... Plus the Natural Vintage finish reminds us of an SE singlecut we had and then traded in a few years ago...gorgeous.
She has a Bday coming up and I had no idea what I was gonna get her, so it's an early Bday present for her!
The woods are beautiful as is the fit & finish. I swear the SE's just keep getting better. Even the back wood and the flame veneer has an impressive 3-D quality to it.
According to the current info, these were discontinued as of this year, and this finish was last offered in 2012, but the serial number said it's a 2014 ...hmmm..
So I contacted PRS customer service, and Matt was kind enough to check into it...he was surprised by this as well.
Turns out it was a special order run for GC and is indeed a 2014. Last of it's kind perhaps??
It's fabulous as is, and Mrs. Bebop loves it. Still, I'm seriously thinking about upgrading the pups and adding a push-pull coil split...it's worthy...
