From my previous question/poll thread poll, I got a lot of good advice from you guys. Thanks!

I went to a local PRS dealer and spent more than an hour playing 3 guitars. They were really helpful and nice and let me play to my heart's content.

- SE Paul's Guitar
- SE Custom 24 35th Anniversary
- SE Custom 24-08

So this is my preference. Yours may differ:

- I didn't like SE Paul's chunky neck. I much prefer thinner neck of C24. After a bit of back and forth. I asked them to put away SE Paul's.
- I liked the look of 35th anniversary more than 24-08. It was a faded blue burst limited edition. The inlay colors look so cool. dealer's pictures
- So, I switched back and forth, mainly listening to the pickups between the two. In the end, I liked the sound of 24-08 pickups more. The 35th anniversary's coil split wasn't really a split, and I didn't like the coil split sound at all. I also liked the bridge humbucker on 24-08 more.
- Although the inlays were ordinary looking, I went with the 24-08 in vintage sunburst. The sample guitar I was playing was in Eriza Verde. I couldn't stand the green.

I'd like to thank everyone here giving me advice to become a new PRS convert, err... but I setup my Gibson LP and it plays perfectly as well and I still like it.

So here it is:

Congrats! Great that you got to demo all 3 side by side

Beautiful guitar! Congrats

I have the two that you didn't pick. :)

Thanks everyone for welcoming me to the PRS club.

I had a preference, but I totally can understand why someone else's preferences would be totally different than mine. They're all very well-made guitars. It just depends on what you like more.

My next PRS? Hmm.... I have always liked single cuts. I bought a used SE 245 and I sold it too soon (lost like USD10 but that's ok) and now I'm banging my head; I shouldn't have sold it. That one had a very nice brown to black burst flamed maple veneer on top. I thought I didn't like the chunky neck, but just that finish alone could've made it a keeper.

Here's the one that I sold. It was 2014 Made in Korea. I think the fretwork may be even a little better than the Indonesian one, although the Indonesian fret work isn't by any means bad.

The “like” is for the guitar.

The “wagging finger” is for you selling it;)
