This arrived Thursday last week but I've had a pretty busy/rotten weekend, so this is me finally getting the pics up.

As some of you may have seen elsewhere, I finally found my holy grail of an SC250 with a wide/thin neck. These appear to be fuggin gold dust and having seen this pop up, had to add it or lose it forever.

I'm so glad I did.

Here she is:

SC250 in Dark Cherry Burst (checked the modcat for clarification)
Non 10 top (but is most definitely on the side of I don't know how it's not!)
Original SC250 neck and treble p'ups
Birdies

I fitted locking strap buttons and changed strings to 10-52 ernies as I do with all my guitars, cleaned the neck up and wiped down the guitar.

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD IT SOUNDS PHENOMENAL! The neck is sweet (especially rolling the tone off a little makes proper creamy lead tones like slash's tone in knocking on heaven's door first solo) and the bridge is bright, sharp, punchy. Together, they are a great combo. The neck 250 p'up is a little hotter than the #7 neck and without the cover a little brighter too. THis is the perfect match for me.

I shouldn't be shocked, but even the bridge is so well designed. I hadn't seen an adjustable wrap bridge by PRS before but it's the little things like how the ball ends fir perfectly in the slots and sit flush that just show the care and craftsmanship in their designs.

I also took a couple p'up cavity shots. I noticed in the bridge cavity the word "bad" in there. I wonder if something happened that they marked it down. Maybe why it's not officially designated a 10 top?

Very nice find!
Why did PRS quit making this single cut?
The only other option I believe is the Tremonti to get the 25" scale?
I prefer the 25" scale over a 24.5" like the 245 has.

Absolutely no clue man, the did the chris henderson sig model to (is that now discontinued too?) but since the end of the sc250 runs, getting a thin neck on an SC has been a nightmare. I've questioned Shawn a few times on availability but they all come with pattern or wide/fat in previous incarnations. There must have been a really low % of guitars with thin profile.

I think it's a phenomenal mix.

I've nothing against scale either way, I do prefer the PRS 25" scale however. Just feels right to me.

Yeah, my next PRS Maryland built guitar will be the Tremonti, but if they brought back the 250 with Pattern Thin neck like my new 408 MT has I would be all over it.
I prefer the thinner neck over a fatter one.
