Loving these new Sandblasted CE’s. It’s a real fun guitar to play, and I’m really impressed with the quality.

To be honest, I returned the SE NF3 I had purchased a little while back.. the fret work was the worst I’ve seen on any PRS I’ve owned (over 20 SE’s) and the fret sprout was 😳. Also, I know this is purely aesthetic..but who made the decision to use yellow, non-maple looking whatsoever grain filler in between the bird inlay/fretboard gaps. I just can’t believe no one raised any concerns with the look. It’s the same on all Maple fretboard PRS guitars. It sticks out like a sore thumb.. and it takes a LOT for me to criticize this company. I’m as “Fanboy” as they come…

I am happy to report that this Sandblasted SE has incredible fretwork, no fret sprout and overall just a fantastic guitar. Not a single issue to be found, and it
sounds and plays right up there with some of my Core models.

I’ve done a few mods so far:
• White pickup covers. I ordered a set from Amazon, drilled out the holes for the fillister screws (which I also changed out to black)
• “Ebony” Vinyl overlay on the headstock
•Custom Owl TRC
•Guyker metal pickup rings,
•D’Angelico Ebony knobs ( I think they fit the aesthetic of the guitar well)
•White Toggle Switch tip
Next up, I’m going to be converting the tuners to PRS Style locking. Just need to drill & tap the tuners for the thumb screw. I’ll try to update with photos of the progress on that project…

Anyway, now to the good part!
