Knows the Drill
After a short jaunt with UPS, she's arrived - my first Maryland made PRS!!! S2 Custom 22 Semi-Hollow in Dark Cherry Burst! This axe is a graduation gift to myself, I'm finally done with school and landed a good job, so it was time to make the jump from the SE line. It's also a throwback to my first PRS, a Custom 22 SE in cherry burst. The marketing plan to hook people on SE's and make them GAS for more is definitely working on me!

Really enjoying this axe so far! It has a great fullness of tone across the spectrum, the semi-hollow aspect adds a lot of depth in the lower registers. A lot more bass than I was expecting, in a good way. Pickups are nice too, well balanced, and the split tones don't add any ear-shattering treble the way some do. The bridge split tone is especially nice, which isn't the experience I've had with many other bridge pickups. It has just a hint of the 335-esque semi hollow tone, but also has the bite to play more aggressive stuff. And of course, fit and finish are awesome!
Now, you might be thinking, he's just in the honeymoon period... well you would be wrong. My honeymoon has been over since Sunday.
In all seriousness, my super cool bride was very happy to let me get a new guitar. I'll try to contain myself until I've taken some more time to play around with it a bit. Thanks to the guys over at Nstuff Music for their great service, they were awesome to deal with!
