Not going to lie, I never really knew what to think of this line of PRS guitars. Well last night, I went and saw Saint Asonia play. Watching Adam Gontier tear it up on a white Standard 24 was all the confirmation I needed! I ended up taking a 45 min road trip today to a local PRS dealer, and played my first S2...Totally blown away by everything this guitar had to offer! She ended up coming home with me. I was even more shocked when I went to buy it, and it rang up new for $1,100.0. Is it wrong I've only owned/ had her home for 3hrs, and I already installed a PRS \m/ pickup in her.
🤘🤘🤘

Cool scenario! See a concert, love the guitar sound, go play a similar guitar, buy it and love it (all within 24 hours)!! Who wouldn't want that to happen? Congrats and enjoy!!!
Thank you!
OP I have 3 of em I love em so much...you got a killer deal as well...what pups did you put in there??
Thank you. I think they are blowing out the 2023 models, since the new 2024 models with the U.S. electronics are making there way out. I'm going to wait until they drop the charcoal satin guitars in price, then possibly snatch one up.
Pickup wise, I left the neck pup stock, and installed a \m/ in the bridge position.
Nice rig and congrats on the guitar! The metal bridge pickup is fantastic, way to make the guitar yours so quickly
Yes Sir! The \m/is my favorite PRS pickup. I have three of them sitting on my shelf, along with alot of other PRS pickups that I will one day find use for.
The s2 standard is one of the most underrated guitars. Congrats!
Thank you!

I had an S2 Custom 24 that I didn't really gel with, so I traded it for an S2 Vela Satin, which is now one of my favourite guitars ever. I don't know if it's the 22 frets that fits me better or the thin satin finish that makes it so resonant, but these satin S2 guitars are really something special.

Never played a Vela before. I'll have to take a look at one of those after I buy the satin Charcoal S2 Standard 24 I want.
Sweet as sweet! Love me some \m/ pick ups. Nicely done
Thank you, and yes, the \m/ are such a sleeper pickup!
Great story - and very cool guitar!
Thank you.
Congrats on a great guitar & great deal. S2's have awesome 'bones' played unplugged. With upgraded pups they're killer.

I was really impressed when I tried an S2 standard. It was a hard choice between that, an S2 cu24 and S2 594.
I'm interested in trying a S2 Custom 24. However, my only issue is, I've never seen one where both sides of the top match. All the ones I've seen in person, or online have a Gibson "paint grade" maple top, and for how much they sell for, I would just save a few $$$ more and buy a used Core model.

I don't think I've seen one where the two top sides didn't match. Mine matches as you can see from my avatar. But regardless, you can't go wrong with either choice.
