I just received my first PRS guitar yesterday. I have to say, it is a wonderous instrument. I was prepared to find it beautiful from the photos posted by PRS and Ish Guitars, but seeing it in person, it is even more beautiful than I anticipated. The top, back, neck, headstock veneer and fingerboard are all Ziricote, with side dots and inlay consisting of Tibetan turquoise.

I haven't had much of a chance to play it yet, but I really love the feel of the satin neck - I had that on an old Taylor guitar and always missed it. The guitar is completely satin finished (which does lead me to ponder the appropriate hanger material for it). I usually prefer gloss finishes, but I have to admit, the satin is a nice touch as it makes the guitar look really elegant.

I primarily play Hawaiian slack key guitar (on nylon and steel string) but I wanted to learn some jazz playing and after searching for a while decided on a PRS Hollowbody. I didn't intend to buy a Private Stock, but I just couldn't get the wood on this one out of my head, so I went for it. I'm regrettably having to sell my favorite Kenny Hill double top classical guitar to help finance it (and probably will be sorry I did) but I couldn't resist having this one.

Attaching a couple of photos - the first three were PRS photos, the last two (poorly lit and shot by me) show it in its new spot on the wall...

Awesome start on the PRS addiction journey! I bought my second PRS (CU24) 16 days after my first (HBII Wood Library from Ish), and I bought my third PRS (PS CU24 Winter NAMM piece) a few weeks after that!!

In that pic of your collection, is that a McPherson with a image (guessing Hawaiian island shoreline photo there) printed on the surface? If so, how do you get that done? I have been looking at getting a CF guitar so humidity does not affect me as much, and if I can get a printed image on the surface, a lot of ideas come to mind!!!

Ever so many congrats on this stellar score! Cheers to many more!!

Congrats!!! That is just stunning, from a fellow ziricote lover! BTW, I’m looking at that Emerald in the center…it that the one Emerald did the special video with you about? If so, I’m going to have to go watch it again :>. Loved, loved. Loved my Hawai’i visits and raced the Na Wahine O Ke Kai…a truly life changing experience!
