Great new pick up and I love the family shot; all three are killer!

Bounce flash and not too far away from the subject. Also, try manual to have more control.

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately my slightly better than click and shoot camera does not have bounce flash. I guess for the time being I will continue to take guitar pics outside.
