This is my 6th SE. I still have 3. I’ve also owned 4 Silver Sky cores, and I no longer own any. Today, I received my SE SS. It is the best SE I’ve owned. The fit and finish get an A. Playability gets an A-, and tone gets a B+ (and I’m not a single coil guy). Really like the neck shape, too (and the fret board radius!). I think for the money, it may well be the best bargain in electric guitars. Oh, and I LOVE the color (best strat color ever IMO). Color me impressed.

Just out of curiousity, and if you don’t mind me asking, how did you come to own 4 silver sky cores?

I bought two gold tops and one went to my son-in-law. I didn’t bond with the other one. Then, I was fortunate to get in on a Nebula, but still didn’t like the fret board radius and sold it. Then I got offered a Lunar Ice, and got a crazy offer. 4 in; 4 out.

I like the radius (and color) on this SE.

Looking forward to seeing if this one sticks.
I'd consider a maple board one if it ever got produced.

I understand the attraction to a maple fret board, but I really like how rosewood aesthetically compliments moon white (obviously subjective ;-) ). I got lucky with a nice dark one, and it has some character, too. Another surprise to me was how thick the board is. I expected a thin board on this price point; nice work, PRS!

I like a maple board on that style of guitar in off white, after it has been beat up and the fingerboard has giant fingerprints of wear on it. You just have to buy one now and play the snot out of it for 30-40 years to get it right.
