So thanks to the good folks at Righteous Guitars outside of Atlanta, I was able to bring home this beauty...

It's a 2008 245 Artist out of the shop owner's personal collection, with what we think is a Brazilian board. No one even knows what color it is, but it's THE color I've had in my head of what I consider to be my Holy Grail of colors. It's too blue to be Blue Matteo, and nothing on the hangtag says what it is. Wide fat neck, hollow J birds, polished solid brass wraparound tailpiece, Artist Package with 245 pickups, and leather Artist case. Amazingly light (we're talking 7.5 lbs or so, rivals my CU24) yet very resonant and she just sings. In absolute MINT condition. Sadly, I traded my Artist V for this, but I never really bonded with it anyway.

More pics!

I have a 594 coming in tomorrow, so a VERY good week for me!

Beautiful guitar! Congrats

I’m gonna guess Whale Blue. The MODCAT in the pup cavity might have the answer.

Thanks guys will eventually check the MODCAT, but I know it definitely isn’t Whale Blue either. It’s so bright. It’s what I expected when I bought my first couple of Blue Matteos, but those all have some green in them. This one is pure blue. Cyan almost.

Sweeeettttt!!!!! Congrats! Love that top!

Looks like a fresh Blue Matteo to me. Possibly Aquamarine, but my Aquamarine is a bit darker shade.

I would have killed for that a few years ago. I've moved on from my blue period, so you're safe I guess.

Send the serial to PRS and they'll tell you the build specs.

You like blue, don't you?!?!
I do too....and that thing is awesome!

Now that I can look at this on my iPad instead of my phone, I’d definitely say Blue Matteo. Oh yeah, dibs if you ever decide to part with this beauty! :)

Was just thinking that PRS Singlecuts never did it for me but DAMN that is one pretty guitar. WOW Congrats!

Score! Righteous is the best! Brian has a killer collection. When they first opened, he had a PRS from every year going across the top of one of the walls.

Do you live in the area?
