My new P245 came. 2015 NOS 10-top in perfect shape. I love the color, could do without the neck binding. It's up against my 2008 SC245 with BKP Cold Sweats. We'll see who wins. This one is by far the prettier. I really like the piezo system, it sounds pretty good even through my Archon. The 58/15s are underwhelming. I think maybe too detailed for the level of overdrive I tend to use. I have just a half-hour on it so far, so lots more playing to do. I also need to play it through my H.

Nice! Congrats! That is a good lookin' specimen! And, I'll take the blame, gladly! :)

Fantastic guitar, and great choice! What is it that you don't like about the neck binding? The more I play my different guitars with and without the binding, the more I think I significantly prefer neck binding. Just wondering!

Just personal preference. I like wood, the more, the better. When I get bindings, I prefer maple or ebony, and I love the "scraped" bindings on guitars. So the plastic inlay binding looks terrible to my eye. I'd rather just see the rosewood fretboard edge.

Very cool looking guitar - congrats!

Sorry to hear you're not bonding with the binding - you can send it to me, and I'll hold it until you have a change of heart...

Yikes, killer P245! Although I share your initial feelings towards the neck binding (I guess I just don't get it), I'm sure I'd get used to it.
Lovely, congrats!

Very nice! Love the color, too. Let us know if you are slowly changing your mind about the 58/15s.

Looks great! I'm not a binding guy either. I agree though, with wood bindings, I like the look more.

I truly dig the finish. Congratulations!!!

Do you have close ups of the binding that you are unhappy with? Also, I believe that you are the first to state that the 85/15s do not satisfy the tone soul. Now you have me rethinking the 594 (85/15LT) purchase that I am so damn close to making. What gives?
