Its finally happened.

The ME1 has been on my must-have some day list for a while. I have come across a few but either they haven't been the spec I want (aka not Double cut Trem) or too expensive compared to the market price.

Then out of nowhere it appeared. I didn't pick it up immediately though, being pushed instead into solemn contemplation about how much I've spent on guitars, especially in the last year. So I almost didn't do it but worry not, good sense prevailed.

It's from 2012, in Yellow Tiger. 57/08 pups, pattern neck, ebony tuner buttons (is that a thing), about 8 pounds and I got it brand new from the dealer as an NOS. The neck is especially figured, looking almost like Tiger Stripes in theme with the top (honestly that's what pushed me over the edge to buy it).

I have a few questions though for those in the know.
- It dates to 13th December 2012 so sounds like one of the last ME1s but would love to know if anyone has a later one.
- It has a two piece mahogany body. As far as I knew, all core PRS's have one piece mahogany bodies but love to know more about this. In case you are wondering, it doesn't bother me at all.

More detailed video to come in a while as i ve been too busy with business trips and a holiday;) but for now some phone pics (Please excuse the poor quality and dim lighting)

Oh and it sounds lovely. I think it is easily as loud acoustically as my 594 which is the gold standard for this (Comparo to come soon)

Man, I love that guitar. Congratulations! I have always lusted after an ME but I could never get along with a wide fat/pattern neck carve.

No pics for me :(

But ME I is a win no matter what the year - congrats! :)

pictures not shown on my PC and on my phone :(

Funnily enough I can see it on my phone and windows pc but not on iPad. Let me try and troubleshoot and re upload soon

Sad to not see the pics, but an ME with 2006-ish wood and 2012 hardware is the best ME!

(I have an old one that I gave that treatment to, and it's fabulous!)

Didnt know uploading pics was rocket science:( havent had this problem before
Can anyone advice me/link me to an appropriate thread so that I can figure it out. Thanks a lot in advance

I can't see your pics, but really doubt how come a top-level core PRS has multi-piece mahogany body so I would like to see it indeed.

Make sure your image shaing option is enabled (publicly accessible). Here are pics of my ME Quatro (ME4). I share these on imgur.com since Photobucket disabled free sharing option. Using imgur.com is very convenient and easy to sign up, highly recommended.

Especially updating the pups. I’ve replaced all of my RPs from the original run.

I had the PTC put 57/08s (they were stickered "MEII") in mine, then swapped them for 59/09s. That was largely because I'd picked up a 59/09 Experience Limited. With two satin-finished, rosewood-necked guitars, one trem, one stoptail, I figured they should have the same pickups to be a "matched" set. The ME just needed more thrust to compare, so the 59/09s went in.

Funnily enough I can see the pictures on my Mac but in any case, it was just faster to create a quick video and somehow youtube links show up just fine.
Thank you for your patience, all those who wanted to see the guitar, and you can always mute my babblings and just look at the guitar.
Later in the video, I attempt to show the 2 piece body.
It's all one take but hopefully you get the idea.
