NGD - Nice CU22

I could see how those mineral streaks would be an issue for some. For me they add character to an already very cool top. I'm sure glad it saw the light of day. It's a monster.

My guess, and this is only a guess since I have no documentation to back it up, but it's probably has a BRW neck and board. It was probably moved to the A/R department due to the mineral streaks, but when the whole BRW thing went down, it was set aside not to see the light of day until now.

Sounds like it makes sense. Here's one other interesting tidbit of info about this guitar. It says "Special order for P. Smith" in the bridge pickup cavity.
 
Oh, and THAT'S a FBJ I'd go after all day. Love the aged look. Not too blue, not to grass stained...looks awesome. It looks rather vintage without being old and beat up.
