Have been on the lookout for a guitar for a couple of weeks now, looked at loads, read loads of reviews, watched youtube for god knows how many hours and I have now finally made a purchase.

Having to give up golf I now find that I have a lot of time on my hands, so I have decided to learn to play guitar, yeah, bit late in life but what the hell, you are never too old to learn, at least that is what they say.

So I managed to get a bargain (at least I think it is) a used PRS SE Standard, which to me seems to be used for a few hours at the most. It is in mint condition, not a scratch on it, and the date code is 2020 so not that old either, whoever the original owner was has took extremely good care of it.

Saved £250 off the cost of a new one which has gone towards a couple of necessities.

SE Standards are great little guitars! Congrats and welcome to the forum! Watch out for the factory presets in that multi-effect, they tend to be overloaded with delay and modulation. While I love delay, reverb and modulation taken in moderation, they will very quickly turn your tone to mush.

Welcome, congratulations, and it IS never too late to learn. I’ve been at it over 50 years, and I still believe I’m going to learn!

Skip it and go right to the Vox. Congrats on your beautiful guitar. Those zebra buckers rule. What a great rig to learn on - a hell of a lot better than most of us had!
