NGD - Minty Purple Mist Studio

Just took delivery of this beauty yesterday. Got it set up with new strings and dialed in the way I like and it's everything I thought it would be. Fat neck tones with a little bit of that strat-y roundness and articulation. In-between quackiness for clean rhythm that doesn't come with a volume drop. A middle pickup with a surprisingly great and useful tone. Chunky, woody, articulate bridge pick-up that can do pretty much anything. All positions super balanced volume-wise. The pattern neck took a little getting used to (don't currently have any in the collection), but I'm already feeling comfortable on it. Was expecting to have some picking trouble with the middle NF pickup given I'm typically in double humbucker land, but so far haven't had any issues. And has basically no wear on it. Impossible for a black back to not have a light scratch/swirl or two, but in otherwise like-new condition.

I had been positively jones-ing for a guitar with a black burst of some kind with the exposed binding. Pair that up with it being the model I wanted, in pristine condition, and under $3k all-in. Couldn't pass it up if I tried!
