Yesterday was NGD. A McCarty I'd ordered back in November finally arrived.
Played a little bit yesterday and a lot today -- more today than in the last two months maybe.
Beautiful guitar, plays like a dream. That's probably not news to most of you.
But these pickups...not quite vintage, not quite modern, don't know yet what to make of them except that they are so addicting! I hesitate to use the "wet blanket" analogy, but I don't know how else to describe it.
I gave up an SC245 with 57/08 for this, which I thought I would miss, but I don't. Not a bit. (And a great LP plugged into a Marshall is my favorite guitar sound.) This one's a keeper.
Kudos to PRS for coming up with these magic pickups!
