I have been looking at a number of different Hollowbody options from custom shop 335’s to private stock’s. This recently showed up at my favorite local dealer and I was immediately intrigued. It was ordered back in 2019 by the dealer and just arrived. It’s a stunning natural finish Artist package. Something not currently available and pretty rare when it can be had.
It’s so incredibly resonant and the tone is exactly what I was looking for in a hollow bodied instrument. I’ve noticed some minor hardware differences from prior year 594’s such as reshaping of the bridge, new tuners and softer beveled pickup covers. I’m a sucker for the McCarty model and all of it’s variants and this checks the box in a big way. In person it’s just...perfect. My hat goes off to Paul and the team in Maryland!
