OK, I have the set up about half done, in that the truss rod adjustment is good, and the action height and intonation (per the clip on Polytune) is good. She plays great! I'm just using the Katana Air EX right now, so sound notes are suspect, but:
Kinda bright, in a good way
Goes from a dirty clean to an angry growl with the volume knob.
It's my first P90 guitar, so I'm not sure exactly what to look / listen for, but I like it so far.

Gotta finish up with a serious cleaning, fixing the too long pickup screws and messing with the trem to see if it stays in tune. Also polish the frets. I need fret polish and the little fretboard protecter thingies - any recommendations? Otherwise probably whatever Stewmac has or Music Nomad has.

I'm getting excited now!

I would guess the Music Nomad stuff will be significantly less money ;~)) My fret protectors are from them and I think they work great. I had some other ones that did not have the handle on them and hated them, which prompted me to get the Music Nomad ones with handles ;~)) Congrats again on this new addition to the family!!

So I finally showed the KL380 to my lovely wife. She says “as long as it makes you happy. I usually prefer the darker woods.” There was the long pause with “the look” and then a bunch of snickering moving to laughter. I didn’t even have to say TWSS. For context, the only people in the world more fair skinned than I am, are my wife, my daughter and Johnny and Edgar Winter. She is attracted to darker skinned men. Only God knows how we ended up together. We firmly believe that God has a sense of humor.
