NGD - It's been far too long since anyone has posted a new NF-53 in White Doghair!

…I keep looking at other forums hoping one pops up used so I can snag it at a discount but it doesn't appear as if people are willing to part with theirs anytime soon…
This is what pushed me into buying mine. I was interested in this model and thought I’d snag one used. When the normal unloading of trying out a new guitar model didn’t seem to be happening, I took it as a good sign that people are happy enough to keep them.

I don’t think my NF53 compares to my Tele at all except for being a two pickup guitar with a similar shape. The NF53 is more comfortable to play and the pickups sound glorious.

I also really love the way they seem to have taken care to make the grain look like a single peice from the front.

Here you can see that it looks like they also tried to make the grain line up where the peices join.
In your pictures, this reminds me of the back of my Graveyard II and Holcomb 8 String. Of course those are much darker but this has the same kind of beauty from the ash figure

Funny you should say that, my wife was on your site admiring the Graveyard II, saw the back of it and said "Hey, it's like your new guitar!"

That's a beaut of a guitar!

And as I noted recently in @Glide-bpm 's NGD thread for a white doghair NF 53, that is exactly the finish I want. The NF 53 is probably at the top of my GAS list, but it's gonna be a while before I scratch that itch.

I will definitely say that upon the first 4 hours straight when mine arrived that the guitar was an unbelievable surprise in tones and feel! I was hooked after that! Is definitely worth owning both the MK and the NF53 now that I have both!

I'm a tele guy at heart, and I GASsed for one of these for a minute. The white doghair is one of the coolest finishes I've ever seen on ANY brand guitar. (the black ain't too shabby either)

I haven't looked yet, but someone needs to do an NF53 vs tele shootout on YouTube... that would be a good vehicle to show what the guitar sounds like, since it's obviously aimed at tele players.

It's quite something to see this technique at the NF53 price point. I was talking to my luthier friend and he was telling me about difficult it was to get wood to that colour with quality and aesthetically. Also, sir, I think you may have given me some GAS after a very long time. Thank God, the white dog hairs NF53s are not available in Singapore for some reason

Terribly sorry about that!

I'll bet Anderton's would be happy to ship you one ... 😉

There’s a few comparisons on YouTube now. Andersons does a comparison in their vid.

This guy does a pretty good job of that I think
