NGD - I Got Five Custom 22’s

I haven't had a cu22 in my stable for a while now. These are all fabulous guitars.

I had an old fella that lived across the the street from me years ago.

I'd go repair his lawn mowers or what ever else he tore up. Old fella, lost his wife no kids. He always tried to pay me but I'd refuse.

One day he gave me this old magnatone lap guitar. Kind of a green marble finish with matching amp. Really cool stuff! Amp buzzes like crazy now and will accasionally shock me so I don't use it anymore but the lao steel guitar functions perfectly and is super cool.

I'll tune it to an open chord and record slide parts with it.

I couldn’t even pick my neighbors out of a line-up.:p:D
You should go knock on their doors. They might have cool stuff. To be honest we’d not had much to do with them in the past. Three months ago my wife and I ran into the wife outside and she was really upset. Her Husband was/is in pretty poor health and she needed to clear the house, and sell things, but had no idea how to go about it. We told her not to worry, that we’d help however we could. Aside from carrying a lot of furniture, I also bought five Amplifiers, (which aren’t worth much), and am selling some other things for them locally. I’m also selling a lot of stuff they gave us. Once I get everything sold, I won’t have a whole lot of money in these guitars.

I’m old enough to remember when you knew all of your neighbors. I lived in a small town in Texas for five years and never mowed my yard. My neighbor mowed mine every time he mowed his. We had this monthly routine. He’d mow my grass, I’d buy him a 30 pack of cheap beer, he’d tell me I didn’t have to, I’d tell him to stop mowing my yard. Things are a little different in Austin. It costs me more than cheap beer to get my lawn mowed.

I live in SE Iowa. Short L street and we have fabulous neighbors who are mostly older and retired. We party on our patios very frequently with our neighbors and we all have a great time.

I clean everybody's driveways in the winter and don't ask for payment.

I'll go to my shop and push snow there then haul skidloader to my house and push snow and clean drives.

I have an old Owatonna mustang 330 skidsteer that I bought several years ago from original owner. Its a 1975 model but original owner replaced motor with Honda V twin so it runs very well. I've kind of restored it. I do truck scale work so it's handy to have for moving 1000 lb weights from my work vehicles to shop or what ever.

Anyway.....I know all of my neighbors and they've all been instructed to call police if they see anybody carrying guitars OUT of my house!

SUPER HANDY

Hell yeah...
Seriously though; who the hell buys 5 Custom 22s and doesn't play? Kind of sus...but there they are.

Good on you, for being a good neighbor.
Actually, I think there were 26 Guitars in total. Including 10 PRS’s. There’s a lot more to this story that I didn’t want to bore people with, (at least not all at once). He’s a 78 year old, semi retired Doctor who can barely walk, and has several serious health problems. I say semi retired because he’s still working at a local Urgent Care. He has no money in the bank, but a lot of stuff. He has two ex wives the latter of whom was a drug addict and allegedly spent all his money. As an aside, a few months ago the drug addict ex wife was in his house, trying to steal painkillers, and he shot her. Twice. He bought a strange mix of stuff. Of the 26 guitars 10 of them are fake. He had four brand new Gibson Les Paul’s with the hang tags still on them, and 9 Fake Chinese Les Pauls, all brand new as well.

This one’s a 2006 20th Anniversary, Artist Package. I couldn’t get pictures that really do justice to this guitar. This top is amazing in person.

I think I’m in love…😍

This is a 2007 20th Anniversary Artist Package. Again, in like new condition. This Guitar absolutely slayed me. As we were gathering up the Guitars this was the first PRS case I opened. I instantly knew I had to have it. As good as it looks in the picture, it looks much better in person. The iPhone just can’t convey the depth in that top.

Absolutely incredible. I have a soft spot for those 20th Anniversary models, so if you ever find yourself wanting to move one to a good home…
