First, a little background. My wife and I have been helping our elderly neighbors clean out their house and sell a lot of their possessions. Among a lot of other Guitars they had ten PRS Custom 22’s. Neither of them play guitar. The husband would just collect things he liked. Out of appreciation for what we’ve been doing for them they offered to give me one of the PRS’s. It didn’t seem right, to me, to take a Guitar, so instead I offered to buy five of them. We worked out a deal and now I own five Custom 22’s. Originally the plan was to sell two, and keep three. Or, at least, that’s what I told my wife. But, once I started playing them I can’t get rid of any of them. They are really like nothing I’ve ever played before. But, enough about me, on to the guitars.

I’m going to put these up as separate posts. This first one is a 2003 10 top. It’s the only one that’s been played. It has some chips in the binding and on the headstock. I wanted this one because of the damage. It’s every bit as good a player as the other 4, but I don’t have to worry so much about scratching it. My 13yo wants to take guitar lessons, this is the guitar he’ll use.

This is a 2007 20th Anniversary Artist Package. Again, in like new condition. This Guitar absolutely slayed me. As we were gathering up the Guitars this was the first PRS case I opened. I instantly knew I had to have it. As good as it looks in the picture, it looks much better in person. The iPhone just can’t convey the depth in that top.

Incredible acquisition! If you ever want to sell that 20th Anniversary with the one piece top (that you said pix did not do justice), let me know and if I can swing it I will take it ;~)) I am a sucker for a beautiful one-piece top and that certainly is a beauty!! Congrats and enjoy, sounds like you deserve it though stepping up to help them!!!

What a great story, amigo. Your good neighbor policy sets an example for us all. 👍

The '06 with the one-piece top and 20th Anniversary Birds is my pic for poster queen.

Lots of variety in the mix, and one tried and true player. Cloud nine, times five. Enjoy it in good health !!

I used to have this exact guitar at one time, I ended up trading it for music man luke and wish I never did. I still have my hardtail custom 22 but I really should have kept the other one.
