Hello everyone!
This is my very first post on this forum, so I hope I can make it a good one! I currently own 5 PRS guitars (just received my fifth one!) and I thought I would share them, along with a new cover that I recorded over the weekend! So, my collection consists of 2 Mark Holcomb signature models (Holcomb Burst & Black Gold Burst), a Dustie Waring sig (in Waring Burst, of course), a Guitar Center 47th Anniversary Cu24 with Dalbergia neck, and my brand new (to me) 408 Artist Package Violet (thanks Brian's Guitars!).
First, the new one: 2014 408 Artist Package in Violet with hybrid hardware, pattern regular rosewood neck, and ebony fingerboard (photo courtesy of Brian's guitars)

My Holcomb Burst Holcomb

My Waring Burst Waring

47th Anni Cu24

(Sorry I don't have a pick of my Black Gold Burst Holcomb yet, I haven't had a chance to snap a good one because of work craziness)

Also, here is a cover of Rockwell's "Somebody's Watching Me" that I did over the weekend (https://soundcloud.com/edward-bernard/the-wet-dark-somebodys-watching-me). Be forewarned it is heavy (I play melodic death metal), so it may not suit some of your tastes. Anyways, thanks for reading!

It's hard to see her go, but it's good to know that she went to a great place! Treat her right and play hard! Happy NGD, she's a killer for sure!!!

Nice collection! Welcome! Please say your other Holcomb is this one.

I'm tempted to pick up a Holcomb -- how would characterize it?

Helluva way to make an entrance. That's an impressive stable you have there.

One of my favorite guilty 80s pleasure songs...I like how you aped the keyboard parts with the guitars. Very cool!

Congratulations on your new guitar and your entire PRS collection. Enjoy (even if you do play metal ;))

I know it's a tragedy!

I was wondering if the previous owner was on here. She will be VERY loved here. This is definitely top 3 material!

It looks like the one you posted is actually a Waring. The Holcomb has the stoptail. I would characterize the Holcomb as weirdly versatile. Obviously I bought it because it is AMAZING at metal (sounds super heavy while being extremely articulate; as you would expect from listening to Mark), but I have found myself playing some jazzier/bluesier stuff on it from time to time and it just sounds phenomenal. The biggest selling point for me is the 25.5" scale with satin finish. It's got the tightness I like without having to go up a string gauge, but it also just plays so smooth and effortlessly. Let me know if there is anything specific you'd like to know and I'll try to fill you in!

Welcome and that's a beautiful collection!!

Thanks!

Every one of them is a winner! And welcome!

I think that as well! I've never been a real big PRS fan until I bought that first Holcomb and then it was like "Whoa...what have I been missing?!"

Thanks! You should hear how I bastardized "Abracadabra" and "Billie Jean"....

...as you would expect from listening to Mark...
The problem with a band with three guitarists is that I never know which one I'm listening to, but thanks for that description, I think you've put me over the edge.

Need to find your version of Abracadabra -- is that on Soundcloud as well? It automatically played Billie Jean for me...

And: Doh! Re: not being able to tell the difference between a Holcomb and Waring. I've done that before, and I'll probably do it again.

GREAT Guitars all of them BUT I am in love with the 408 in the first pic

WELCOME to the forum

I went to the PRS clinic with Mark, Dustie and Paul in August at John Mann's Guitar Vault so I saw Mark's playing there. He seems to do heavy rhythm and some of the leads (Misha does the other, Jake does the ambient clean type stuff).

Also, yes, my cover of Abracadabra is on SoundCloud, but here is the link for you: https://soundcloud.com/edward-bernard/abracadabra-fade

And you aren't the only one to mix-up the Holcomb and the Waring; Paul Reed himself mentioned that Mark's guitar had a Floyd and then looked over and was like "Oh wait, no that's his...."
(The Clinic was amazing!)

Thank you for all the nice comments! The 408 is definitely getting the most play time right now!

Now that's the way to make an entrance. All beautiful guitars but I think I like the new 408 the best. Congrats on them all and welcome!

I agree that the 408 is pure magic. The 47th Anni is no slouch either though! Rosewood necks are the way to go!
