I ordered this PRS Fiore on NYE and received a message on New Year's Day that a shipping label was created (it did not actually ship out until Monday but good to see a shop getting things done)

It arrived yesterday (just in time since there was a snowstorm here in the Northeast overnight) and I let it sit in the box for about 18 hours before finally opening it a few minutes ago

The box was well packed and upon opening, I did not hear any nitro crackling - I guess 18 hours was long enough to wait

The guitar is beautiful and the gig bag is substantial enough considering I do not gig anyway:

The guitar was sent with the string tension non-existent so tuning it up took quite a few tries before it actually remained in tune

One issue, is that the volume knob rotates very fast

However, the middle tone knob has a lot of resistance to it

While the lowest tone knob is somewhere in between the aforementioned knobs

Perhaps the volume knob is meant to be loose for volume swells?

If anyone has this guitar, are your knobs set up similarly? I do not want to attempt to adjust them before knowing whether this is how the knobs normally function

Thank you

We generally refrain from asking each other about our knobs. Some folks here are really sensitive when it comes to that area.

Congrats on the guitar! And as someone mention, the PRS pots are usually low friction, so the volume pot sounds right to me. Can't speak to the sourcing of the tone pots, but I've come to really like the low friction ones.

Love the guitar bud. I'm kinda Fiore sick and I still considering getting one for birthday in march.

Since the volume pot is normal low friction pot PRS is using on everything and other two are off the shelf push pulls there may be difference in friction

Fiore sick?

Sweet guitar! Congratulations!
I have no idea about the knobs, however.

Something about a white PRS…:)
Congrats!

I love white and/or silver guitars - this one was right in my wheelhouse

Love it, congrats!

That's brilliant, congrats

Fixed! ;)

Side note: I need one of these. Would make a nice twin to my SS

Sweet guitar.

As for the volume knob, that's how they are. Paul likes it that way, so that's the way it is.

I have a thing for the Fiore. I can’t justify it right now. But it’s on the list. Dave’s got a couple of used ones in and I was sorely tempted.

I really want to get a hold of one of these to try them out. My Studio needs another HSS buddy ;)

Congratulations again. Looks really classy in wiite!

Thank you all - I am loving it

Sweet guitar, white is my favorite of the colors offered. I would guess the volume knob has less resistance by design for easy quick changes and swells. I don’t know for sure how Mark spec’d it though.

In a way that I really want Fiore, yeah

You will not be disappointed

Congrats! That is CLEAN!!!

Sweet top!

Yeah something about white guitars and how they look clean draws me in

I guess that is why my studio monitors are white and both my amps are white

Oh, and why I also bought this guitar last year

I sent PRS an email as well as the shop I bought it from - most people believe that the volume knob is supposed to rotate very easily - as for the 2 tone knobs, they are not that far off from one another (might be my OCD kicking in wanting things to be "just right") - it will not stop me from enjoying this guitar - it would not be hyperbolic of me to say that this might be my new #1

I’be played cores and I really couldn’t convince myself that they were worth the expense, but the change of pace offered by the Fiore and it’s playability might make it worth the cash.

An SE version would be an instant buy from me.
