Very nice! That is some plush carpet, my friend. I wanna lay down and go to sleep lookin' at that:dontknow:

played a lot and this one just spoke to me.. even with 8's on. One question, is the stoptail worth swopping? the intonaition is close but no cigar, im thinking one i can adjust sepratley?

shes now rocking 10's

I assume you've adjusted it after putting the 10's on? I'd guess you'd have needed a truss rod tweak as well going 8's to 10's. I've not had issues intonating 10's with the regular stoptail. I do use the adjustable with my low tuning and 11-60 custom gauge strings. 10's should be perfectly fine though. If there's significant fret wear anywhere, that could be an issue too. My '96 custom 22 needs work on the frets bad.

Congratulations, a really fine looking guitar. Regarding the bridge, I asked the forum the same question when I got my used 2000 McCarthy. The consensus was that, and I still agree, that since the stoptail is machined with such precision and, like me, you're using 10's, that the extra cost to replace the bridge isn't worth the $$$. I had mine setup perfectly and the intonation to my ear is so close, that only a strobe tuner can detect any very small(just a couple of cents give or take) deviation. On the other hand, if you are recording then maybe it's worth it. Note that most, if not all, of the very high end PRS have the stop tail, so there you go.

Ooo that's classy. I don't know why they make guitars in other colors.
