BTW it's a mint CU22, black gold wrap (owner said "quilted" but not seeing that though I do like the rings). Paid CAD 2k or approx 1600 USD. Not a screaming deal but not a bad one either, given all the case candy & paperwork...

The guitar serial number says "12" but the hangtag says Jan '13...I assume it's officially a '12 then?

Congratulations. Tis a beauty!

I had one like that, build started in one year and finished in the next. Not sure if there were any spec changes between the years in question, but if so, it would be a 2012 built to 2013 specs.

Its interesting. Black Gold often does not photograph very well. I got an AP Custom 22. When it arrived at the dear, he shot a few cell phone pics, and I was forelorn. It seemed so RED to me. It looked perfect when it arrived, though.

I am betting this one looks even better in person!!

Yeah, Black Gold wrap/burst is a nice finish - my P24 looks great in it. And I wish there was an official explanation of Black Gold "Wrap" vs "Burst", since both terms are used by PRS and their dealers. Maybe Burst is what you get on SC-style bodies that have that classic teardrop center, vs wrap for the DC style of a CU22/24?

My Black Gold <whatever> P24 looks either very red or very black in that "burst" or "wrap" edge portion depending on the lighting. It is a very interesting effect!
