Hi Everyone,

Long time lurker, first time poster on this site. Just wanted to share my new guitar that I just brought home today. It's a 2004 Custom 24 Brazilian Edition :) it's the same exact color combo that I have wanted for roughly 16 years.

Surprisingly I found it at a local pawn shop and got a great deal on it. It's 349/500 and signed by Paul as well :D

You mean you can still find good guitars in pawn shops these days? I was under the impression all they had was used guns, cheap stereos, and all those cheap guitars not even good enough to sell at Sears or Kmart. And cash-for-gold jewelry.

Nice find. Actually, quite superb! Now I need to think about trawling the local pawn shops...

Sweet! Love Cu24s, especially of that vintage with HFS/VB pickups and a 5-way rotary.

And to find not only the guitar, but the color you wanted as well at a pawn shop? Amazing! Beautiful top on that one as well. Congrats big time!

Thank you all! Yeah, it was a pure chance that I found this guitar. The same pawn shop has a '12 Les Paul Standard Guitar Center special edition for sale now too.

I had an SE many years ago, but this is just head and shoulders above many of the ones I own. With the exception of my Martin J-40 ;)

Great grab! I absolutely love pawn shops but the Internet all but killed the days when you could score anything cool at one, at any price.

Hasn't stopped me from not being able to drive past one without a quick run in though...........

I was super surprised! The guy had it listed as a standard CU24, and I never in a million years thought my wife would say yes(we just moved from CA to CO) so I told him I thought he had a much better guitar than it's listed as.

Well turns out my wife gave the A-Ok!! I talked him to 2K from $2500 and he took it with no issues. He must have gotten it for a steal!

Best Pawnshop Visit...EVER! Congrats on that score. A total bargain at that, too.

Where in CO are you? There are a few of us around...

Out in Highlands Ranch area. The place I found this one at was a pawn shop over on Broadway, on the way to downtown.

They have a gorgeous LP right now with a similar color scheme. Don't know the cost, but I'm super happy with this PRS! I joked with my wife that I will take this to the grave with me.
