NGD: Custom 24 Floyd Rose...plus a question

Picked this up yesterday, non 10 top with black pickup rings. Bought from World Guitars (this is my 6th PRS from them)



Anyone got any experience with Big Block Floyd upgrades?

Thanks RVA, it's not a wild top, but I liked it because it has what I guess are minerals or some other kind of deposits in it that remind you it's actually wood, and not some nearly perfect matching pattern.

So, anyone got any experience with the floyd rose big block upgrades?

I have a Floyd upgrades brass block as well as the stainless hardware and titanium saddle inserts in my Jackson PC-1, love it it def improved the tone IMO. It's nit a super drastic difference but it does add to the overall tone of the guitar. Anything I get w a floyd will get the same treatment.

Absolutely killer! Love this model for 2014, and faded whale blue might be might fav PRS blue ever!

Also, don't sleep on the sleek, snappy ebony fretboard - seems like a perfect match for these guitars with the \m/ pickups. These guitars are giving me serious GAS

They're perfect with the ebony fingerboard and the maple neck. PRS did their homework on this guitar for sure. You'd think they were a top notch guitar builder.....go figure. :wink:

Think I will give it a go. Did you look at the titanium block or just inserts?

I just went with the titanium inserts, the full saddle set and the titanium block were a little to pricy for me at the time. I might try a titanium block soon though got a new job.
