Here's a CU24-08 I ordered from Chuck Levin's which was part of a Wood Library run for their store's anniversary.
They also had (and in some cases still have) a few CU24-08 and 594s in Northern Lights, Absynthe, and Laguna.
Ah yes... I also got one of their 24-08 in Northern Lights last month.
I won't really try to justify getting two of those... besides always wanting those colors and also not being terribly worried about resale value if it comes to that.

I had a fantastic experience dealing with Luke and Evan at Chuck Levin's, I wouldn't hesitate buying a 3rd guitar from them but I do hope they run out unique and awesome looking guitars.

Was a bit bored post-Thanksgiving so I made a curly maple truss rod cover for it earlier today.
I'm also trying to make couple in my approximation of Beach Fade (last pic) for a more typical Private Stock look.
The quilt maple one looks cool, the other one didn't accept stains quite as well and was a darker piece of wood.
The beach part matches perfectly the body and it was relatively easy to get the color.
The water is a bit dark as I ran out of patience trying to get an intermediate bright cyan. I'll try again one day, it just requires way too much trial and error to get a cyan color.

That’s like a private stock guitar!

VERY nice!!

BEAUTIFUL! You said the other one had a better top, but I think this top looks outstanding. Really dig the curly maple neck and board as well as the swamp ash back.

How does it compare to tone wise to the classic mahogany/maple top formula?

Let me know if you ever want to sell it :):D

I actually don't have a mahogany/maple top PRS to compare against.
I'm also in the "slightly skeptic" camp as far as identifying a guitar's woods both unplugged or plugged.
If I had 10 guitars of each of equal body weights then maybe we could generalize... something to keep in mind if I visit the PRS factory again :D.
I built/assembled a lot of S-style guitars and heard just as much tonal change (unplugged) from swapping maple necks from Fender vs Musikraft vs Warmoth on the same exact guitar, as different body/neck woods.

As for the top, the comment was based solely on the couple cellphone pics in sub-optimal lighting the dealer had sent me.
Once I got to see it in person I admit it's hard to complain, though I still slightly prefer the figure pattern of some of their other ones:

I recognize that top pic from a current Reverb listing on my watch list - you know, just in case. :)

I’d be happy with any of the three tops shown!

I’m in the “everything matters” camp. I’m not surprised different maple necks sounded different, even with similar specs. During my PS build wood selection, they tone tapped the 4 Brazilian neck blanks and each sounded slightly different - we all chose the one that rang out loudly like a bell.

The link is indeed straight from that Reverb ad, it was in my watch list too. It either ended or sold. I had a slight problem with his asking price... He got an offer very close to that at some point which blew my mind, but also convinced me the risk of buying one was limited should I need to part with it in the future.
