Not my first PRS (that honor goes to the SE Zach Myers) but my first US-made PRS.

Oh dears, it's exactly what I wanted. A blue finish that looks like a swimming pool I could dive into. Feels great in the hand. Lightweight. The ZM and my Cu22 SH SE both feel great, too, but this is just different. The carves side-by-side are just so different between the two double-cuts. Never seen a S2 or Core model in person, though, so maybe that's just the virtue of being a CE24. Locking tuners are a big bonus.

Sounds amazing. Again, not that the SH or ZM don't sound great already, but just sounds different. Maybe it's a placebo. Maybe it's the difference between 85/15 S on my SH and 85/15 USA on the CE. Maybe it's the TCI process. Who knows?

A *little* disappointed that a $2200 guitar doesn't come with a hard case, especially with all the effort put into the gig bag to make it more protective with extra headstock support and side bracing. Just throw it in a case already. Whatever.

Anyways, pics. Yes, my walls have an almost-lavender tint to them. Not quite that much, though. My phone made it a little extra. O_o

Thanks everybody! I'm so stoked!

Congrats! Blue Matteo?

Yep. I went into it thinking I wanted a Whale Blue, but when I saw the pictures of the Blue Matteo finish on Zzounds (where I bought the guitar) I just had to have it. It looks like the clearest ocean. Zzounds let me pick which specific guitar I got, and I picked the one with the nicest flame on both sides (a lot of them were less flamed on the left) and I have no doubt this is the same guitar.

I still can't get over the ridge on the carved top. It's so neat, not like the "bubble" carve on my SE guitars. It almost raises back out at the edge, like it would be a moat if I poured water on it. Which I'm not about to do, mind you. :p

Freaking gorgeous!! I love my CE24 and am jonesing for a semi-hollow, need to raise funds...

I’m with you on beautiful guitar finishes that remind one of the ocean!
