I just couldn’t resist getting a ‘burst, so here it is. Like @fatherbowie, I think amber knobs look better on this finish… still thinking about changing the switch tip to cream.

That wood and color just look "right." No question. Vintage.

Definitely agree with knobs as is, and the cream switch tip swap and done! NICE!!

You take great pics of "My Guitar" ... I wouldn't change a thing (including the pickups );)

I am still lusting after a flamey /stripey maple top version (not as thick as its chubber sisters) just to add "flair" , to an already cool guitar ...

The neck profile and much thicker girth of the SC/DC , along with the fact that the maple tops on S2's can be rather bland are a bummer though. Hey. they are great guitars, if you can live with the neck profile (and new higher price)

I think the p’ups are okay as-is, but do want to change the volume pots so the roll off will be linear.

Wow, what a beauty! Unfortunately I think I'm selling mine, but it has nothing to do with the guitar itself. A story for another thread, which I will post as soon as I can work up the courage.

That has "keeper" written all over it to me. I could not put my finger on what else to do...Augmentation of the already there attributes without taking away from it/them is a tough call IMO.

It’s mahogany. I really wish they’d do a much lighter sunburst….
It seems to depend on who is spraying any given batch. While this one is beautiful, I had hoped it would be like the example shown on the listing (clearly marked as not the actual guitar available) did have mahogany edges, sides, neck and headstock, and was absolutely gorgeous!

I’m sure they have customers that prefer one or the other, but I like seeing the wood, myself (not that it stops me from buying alternatives).
