NEW GUITAR DAY

First year Core Mira with full birds. I actually would have preferred the J-birds, but this ticked all the other boxes, so I couldn't stop myself.

I've wanted a Core Mira for a long time, but finding one that doesn't have a wide/thin profile is tough. My left hand just can't get along with shallow necks. This one is Standard profile and measures out to just a tad over .86 at the first, so that's great for me.

Even knowing it's an all mahogany body, the guitar is darker sounding than I was expecting. Not 'bad dark', more like 'smooth dark' with a nice amount of edge and bark when hit harder.

Now my Joe Knaggs section of the PRS stable is complete with the Mira and Starla. My OCD is relieved.

Okay NOW I'm done buying guitars...

Dang it, that's a cool one. I've been keeping my eyes out for essentially that same guitar. (Just watched one go off Reverb/Dave's this weekend.) I have the "X" version with 22 frets & lightweight non-carved body, but am still longing for a real-deal mahogany Mira with the 24 frets.

It came with these. I think the PO did it to lighten the headstock for better balance. I don't know exactly what they are. I hadn't seen them before.
