Hey guys, just wanted to give a big shout of thanks to @toothace !!!

The man just sent me the wing I needed, today it arrived and it's already on the guitar... It's incredible, I never expected to encounter such generosity, I'm speechless... So please, everyone direct your thoughts of mojo, karma and all good things towards this man :eek: 🥲 🤯😆👏🤘

My 89 CE is my no.1 absolutely love it!!! I had the same issue with my locking collar but it happened less than a year after I bought it and they replaced for free. Enjoy every moment with it

Still not perfect, but I don't want to mess with it anymore for now... Next string change I'll try again 😅

And I didnt notice before, but it already had a non-original wing on it, I just realized yesterday when I looked at the picture 🧐🤦‍♂️

I always prefered the wings to point to towards each other. Reason is simple: I prefer the strings to curve around the shaft, so there is less stress on the string at the point where it is locked to the tuner and that there is some travel for tuning up and down, while the string behaves the same. If that makes sense?

So no christmas tree for me, but all of the string ends pointing down
