I have had two traditional double cuts with mahogany bodies, necks and maple tops which were great. I also have had a SC with the same wood combo. All great guitars that sound fantastic. Very much in the Les Paul camp with that PRS twist.Congrats on a gorgeous guitar! Gotta check out Danville Music sometime when I'm in the East Bay.
Looks like you know McC 594's pretty well, how does it compare with others?
This one definitely has more mid-range focus much of which I think is due to the rosewood neck. I also think the semi-hollow construction adds a little bloom to the tone. Very nice for single note lead playing. Great sounding guitar that compliments my more traditional wood guitars nicely.
Btw, I am in San Francisco. For me, getting out to Danville is not bad. Getting back into the city is the PIA!
