I was poking around on Reverb for a new 2019/2020 McCarty 594. I came across a couple and one definitely peaked my interest, but after further review didn't tick enough boxes for me. I kept searching.

Then I came across this and couldn't pass it up.
Just off the FedEx truck from @GTRMAV, a Fire Red Burst 509 Artist package. Beautiful flame top and pics just don't do the incredible depth of this maple top justice. Ebony Fret board and headstock. green abalone center birds, gold hardware and the kicker for me was a beautiful flamed maple neck.
Thanks to JD @GTRMAV. JD was such a pleasure to work with.

All I can say is Wow!
Got some time today to sit down and really put this 509 thru the motions.
It has easily moved right to the top of my favorites.
The clarity and definition in each note and chord is amazing. The way this entire guitar resonates with each note is incredible.
I feel like I just gel with it and the tones I'm able to produce are awesome and I actually feel like I'm playing better.
I know that this may sound odd, but this one just feels "right".
I don't think this one will ever leave the stable.
Keep on rockin'

This thing is as good looking as it gets. It's hard to go wrong with a red finish, dark fingerboard/headstock, and gold/black hardware.

That is a beauty! I need a proper flamed maple top PRS in "red". My one red PRSi is a MM Baritone - awesome guitar, but a "boring" finish compared to the 509 here!
