NGD: 2012 DGT GT!

This beautiful DGT Gold Top was born in October, 2012 and finally found its owner - Me! Fresh off the UPS truck by way of MusiciansFriend.

This is my second DGT (the 1st one pictured below was sold b/c I didn't like the neck carve). It only weighs 7.8 lbs and the tone just resonates. As soon as I plugged it into my Mesa Boogie Maverick 1x12 I heard the awesome, textural and articulate tone that was sweet and familiar. I had no idea how much I missed this tone! By far, DGT pickups are my favorite PRS pickups! The split coil tone is especially good! By the way, did DGT get better over the years? First, I like this neck carve better than the neck carve on the 2008 DGT I had; it feels slightly fuller. The 11 string gauge just works! Enjoy the pics!

I thought all DGTs had the same necks?

I've read that DGTs have improved over the years, i.e., Coil Tap volume same level as Humbucking. The neck carve feels slightly fuller to me on this one as compared to the one I had in 2008. Or, maybe, it's just me
