My wife allowed me to get this one around Christmas this year. She didn't explicitly say it but i read between the lines.
Backstory:
I was watching this one on eBay. Going for an incredible price. 1 hour left and i placed a one increment bid thinking if by some miracle i get if for this price i can get forgiveness from the wife. 5 minutes left, i still havent been outbid. 1 minute left, outbid, I go to place one more, and.... power outtage! (We were in the middle of an ice storm) Couldnt find my phone in time to bid again. I chalked it up to fate and let it go.
Fast-Forward 2 days. Im on a business trip and see a faded blue jean studio on the FB PRS guitar forum. I comment about it, and say how i had one get away from me. Another guy posts after me and says "Oh that Jet Black on from ebay?" End up talking to him through messenger, he says he bought it just to see how it is, hes got 4 other PRSi, etc, etc. He said that if it didnt speak to him, then he would let me have it for what he paid.
Im on the floor! Small world. Still didnt think it would ever happen. I tell my wife the story, She says "Holy Crap! Well if he decides to sell it, BUY IT. I GUESS ITS MEANT TO BE" a week later i get the message that says "Its yours if you want it"
He ended up living about 3 towns over. I drove over an picked it up the next day and pickup up an obscene bouquet of flowers for the wife on the way home.
So here I am, still married, new PRS in hand.
