Been a LONG time since I've been a PRS guy (back in the Birds and Moons days), but I picked this up at my local Sam Ash recently. Looks like a 2010 Special 22 which is a model I'm not very familiar with. I bought it because it reminded me of my old SAS I used to have and liked and because it's similar to my Suhr Modern Pro.

Definitely was someone's player... lots of cosmetic wear, some fret wear, etc. I had to reset the trem as it was about 1/4" off the body, cleaned it, and did a basic setup on it. It's currently at my luthier's getting a full fret job and a nut fix (D string buzz when played open).

Next up will be some different humbuckers, the current set is very dark and kind of dull sounding. The single coil sounds phenomenal!

Can anyone tell me a little more about this guitar? Thanks!

I can't tell specifically (the birds on the fretboard are a bit blurry) but that could be more of a 2007~2008 guitar. There were some "hollow bird" inlays around that time, and then in 2010 were the "25th Anniversary shadow birds," which have a distinct additional black "shadow" inlay behind/next-to the ivory inlay. Also, most of the 25th Anniversary year (2010) guitars had a 25th Anniversary bird on their headstock face, too. So.. so far, this one's looking more late-00's to me.

Of course, the true indicator of its year would be the numbers handwritten just before the serial # on the back of the headstock. (Most 2007 guitars just have a "7"; 2008 & later would say "08" or "10" for example.)

I have a 2010 with the same inlays that isn't a 25th anniversary model as well.
