They’re a good hunt for sure. The core ones at least. Thanks, when I get it later this week I'll post some more.
I've not seen many hard tail with 1 Volume and 1 Tone.
Please post picsHi all thanks, however I think I'm sending it back.
I'll decide on Friday after speaking to Tony Edwards.
As far as I can make out it's had a piece of wood let into the left hand side of the heel. It's very faint but it looks like the wood was cut to fit joining a shade under the top of the guitar. A tidy job but something what makes me believe it's had a real accident.
There is also a wierd marking along the neck which is visible from the photos I have. Now im thinking that is part of a repair not the markings of the wood. I can't believe PRS sent it out of the factory with the neck with a chunk of wood replaced.
The old 9 gauge strings and I think to little relief don't help.
I'm leaving it to acclimatise until Friday.
I also see what people say about the pickups, however a proper setup and new strings may make it spins better. To me it lacks a balanced sound and the bridge pickup seems to not be a good sound.
If it is, they did a great job.Is this a singlecut soapbar standard that was modified for humbuckers?
My son was born when these came out. That kept me busy.I totally missed this (small?) niche of the PRS universe in the early 2000s...
I had Singlecuts (01 and 04), SC250, Starlas, and Singlecut Soapbard Standard...but never came across a "standard" Singlecut Standard until today.
I didn't notice any signs of it being modified there. But I believe the guitar has been repaired and the repaire to the heel makes me wonder if the neck had to be removed. It has resonance but it's nothing like the Mcarty I had. That I regret having to sell, it wasn't flash but wow what a guitar.I totally missed this (small?) niche of the PRS universe in the early 2000s...

Maybe beyond your timeline, but have a look at the early 2010's Stripped 58 (my #1)Has anyone got the maple topped singlecut or a early Mcarty.
