After my last fiasco, I needed vindication. Browsing the local Guitar Center fixed me up good.

I saw this and immediately packed up a ton of gear and traded it in. I'm not sentimental about this gear anymore as there is no future for it.

Picked this up for sub-1900 with a case. No candy, papers or whammy bar. These are ordered, along with some proper strap buttons.

2002 Custom 24 in Amber. It's gorgeous!

No headstock break on this one, but the previous owner did not get their locking tuner training...

These abalone birds are sensational. I've never seen any like them in person, until now.

This guitar is a dream, and I'm working the strings, specs, and guts to share soon. Thanks! For once I'll also say thanks to Guitar Center.

Part 2

Started deep clean and pulled the pickups and to see the cavities. Interesting, are these the standard pickups from that era in a CU24?

I didn't expect this Date and Year. What is this meaning, final manufacture date?

Control Cavity - Brass block, baby!

Sweet headstock, Truss Rod looks good

A final image after all is said and done.

The tuners are like SE locking tuners, except they are not. Are these Phase 1 locking tuners or something?

Anyway, thanks for tuning in. I never thought I'd find a guitar like this for, IMHO, low money. You all keep telling people it's possible, here's the proof.
