Unfortunately or fortunately my first guitar had to go back, and PRS decided it should be replaced. This new guitar just feels SO solid, yet SO resonant and with such magical sustain - it has this really elegant gentle taper that never seems to end.

Oh yeah, and it’s got PTC installed 57/08s, USA pots and switch, coil split, and custom pickup rings =D

Edit: never mind, it still doesn't work.

What doesn’t work? Is the volume always on and doesn’t turn down when turning the volume pot? Or is there no sound at all? Scratchiness anywhere?

It cuts in and out, makes static noise, and volume level jumps around or doesn’t make any sound at all. The vol and tone pots are both a little loose, the shaft wobbles around a little. Maybe it’s bad contact with the wiper, idk.

Likely a bad or improper ground. You’ll have to pull the harness to service it.

Its lovely! So sorry its not working electrically. You'll get it sorted and be amazed!

Does the Piezo work at least?

They certainly have been so far, and as long as it gets right in the end, I’m happy.
Yes, I got a bad volume pot on my 594 HB II. Frustrating when you’re really looking forward to enjoying a guitar. PRS did a great job getting it fixed and back to me, but I totally get the letdown!

PRS has been great and already sent me a return label. I'm really grateful for such awesome support.

Yeah, it was a tough day, especially since electrical issues on guitar #1 are what started all this 9 months ago. I don't know why but I wasn't expecting PRS to be so quick to take it back, so I guess I made it harder on myself than I needed to. It's amazing how such a big company can make such a small customer feel so important.

You guys, I'm so stoked to get this guitar back I can hardly take it! (Not complaining, just excited!!) I had the 57/08s installed with coil split, AND, when I originally got this guitar I decided to go all out and build my dream rig: a new Mesa amp I've hardly used, a nice new load box, and a whole slew of custom pedals I built most of myself, and I even made every cable! It's all been waiting almost 10 months; everything besides the amp is pretty much unused.

I had like 5 minutes with the new guitar. I ran it through the Mesa and load box into a powered JBL monitor. I almost couldn't believe my ears! It was the sound, AND RESPONSE!! I'd been chasing with the wrong equipment for 20+ years. I'm so motivated, I can't wait =D
