I had the chance to try the PRS NF3 SE with maple neck at my local store and I'm absolutely in love with it, how it feels in the hands, how smooth and fast it is. However, I prefer the dark coloring of the fretboard offered on the rosewood neck option but did not get to try it out. Do you know if the finish is also the same, like satin and super smooth or is it actually glossy?

Mine is satiny smooth.

Thanks for the feedback. I see now that PRS currently offers only 3 models with maple necks with satin finish:
- SE NF3
- SE Swamp ash Special
- SE Zach Myers
Still have to decide among those.

Myers is mahogany neck. The silver sky se is satin neck maple.

You could have picked up any other guitar with a rosewood fretboard to see how it feels. Rosewood is naturally oily and is almost always left natural and unfinished on musical instrument fingerboards. It is naturally smooth and satiny.
