I have installed Hipshot locking tuners on all of my Tele style guitars and have become spoiled by the ease in changing strings with them. I use the ones with the universal mounting plate(UMP) so there is no drilling or or other modifications and it also covers up any drill holes. Does anybody know if they will fit my NF-53? They come in vintage size holes and 10mm holes. They make 6 inline and 3 per side models, I would need there 3 per side. I would also consider any other brand that didn't involve drilling new holes. It appears that any PRS tuners that might fit my NF-53 are sold out. Thanks!

Well I just noticed that the tuners are staggered in such a way that the UMP will not work so its going to have to be a tuner with the same drill hole pattern as the originals because I don't want to drill the headstock any where

Agreed, John Mann locking vintage tuners. Or if you can be without them for a little, he might still offer the conversion of non-locking to locking

John Mann will be the quickest way to get you settled. I personally like the top locking Gotoh SD510 series. You get the vintage look and locks without any obtrusive thumb screws on the front or back.

I don't mint the thumb screws on the back as long as I don't have to do and drilling of any kind.
