Newbie looking for PRS.

Hello All -

Just joined the forum, and looking for advice and or suggestions. I am a newbie guitar player, after a 40 year hiatus. I am really impressed with the ideology and quality of the PRS brand.

I am currently looking at an SE Mark Holcomb as my 1st electric.The price is right, and I am planning on getting a VOX ac-10 or ac-15 as well. I like the satin neck on it, and the Seymour Duncan pickups.

I am open thoughts and suggestions !!

I've never owned a MH...but every SE model I own/have owned has been spectacular!

Yeah, quit playing around and get on with it! You can't make a bad choice, look it over well before buying (if possible) and get ready to want your 2nd PRS - as I do.

Great choice! I personally am not a fan of really flat fingerboards, but since you're a newbie, you aren't as biased as someone who has been playing for years. It will be a comfortable guitar, for sure, and I haven't heard a bad sound from it. Fixed bridge, less moving parts, easy to change strings... I wish my first electric was as good as that.

Heh! Someone's been reading my whining drivel! I actually have someone supposedly working to get a bank loan, but I've heard it a couple of times already. Thanks for pulling for me!

Good choices. Go for it! The current AC-15 is a solid amp, and worth what they are asking. The Holcomb looks great (haven't played the SE, but dig the specs).
