This is what I have done for my summer break (I'm a teacher). I wanted to make more, but this is all I could do.

I have always wanted to play this when I was younger but did not get to learn it! Kinda made my own version though. What do you guys think about the mix and all before I make a video out of it with vocals... maybe. I'm not too fond of the solo because it sounds off somewhere. I suck.

Used the following:
My PRS Darth Paul in drop C.
Neural DSP Archetypes Gojira and Bea
Submission Audio Eurobass III
EZDrummer
Reaper

V cool! I really dig that slide you did at 4:27!! Is that part of the original song (I know the song but not well enough to recall if it had a break like that)? Mix is good IMO, I think maybe some heavier bang on the drums, not volume but girth if that makes sense, more dense perhaps, but I would not reject it on that as it is good the way it is. Just yesterday I recorded and mixed my version of U2's "One" and am going to post it to my site today, so a bit of a Matrix moment for me to see this offering (but mine has nowhere near the production level you have here) ;~)) As for making it your own, I would not want it any other way, for anybody else or myself. Duplicating the original is never on my list of priorities. Thanks for sharing!!!

Thank you for being a second set of ears, and your time! I get ear fatigued after listening to a project over and over to again, that I couldn't tell anymore.

Drums... I will look into that. I only do projects once in a while, so I am not well versed with the software that much yet. I'll probably try to switch to another drum set.

I opt to make my own versions because I gave up trying to replicate these great guitar heroes with my limited skill!

Give us a listen to your version of "One" too!
